(৩) (প্রশ্নে, বিনীত অনুরোধে এবং অনেক ক্ষেত্রে please এর সমার্থক হিসেবে মধ্যম পুরুষের সঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়): ‘Will you (please) come in’, ভিতরে আসুন না? Would you (please) pass the salt? (৪) (উপরোধ বা অনিবার্যতা নির্দেশকল্পে এবং সর্বদা শ্বাসাঘাত বা stress সহযোগে -কখনো’ ‘ll বা ’d নয়- হাঁ-সূচক বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত): She will have own way, সে তার পথে/তার মতো চলবেই; boys will be boys, ছেলেরা তো ছেলেই হবে, অর্থাৎ ছেলেমি করবেই; Accidents will happen, দুর্ঘটনা তো ঘটবেই। (৫) (অস্বীকৃতি বা প্রত্যাখ্যান বোঝাতে নঞর্থক ব্যবহার) : He won’t help me, সাহায্য করবে না (বলে জানিয়েছে); This window won’t open, এই জানালাটা খুলবে না, অর্থাৎ খোলা যায় না। (৬) (কোনোকিছু মাঝে মাঝে ঘটে থাকে, কেউ কোনোকিছু করে থাকে, কোনোকিছু স্বাভাবিক বা প্রত্যাশিত- এ রকম বোঝাতে will ব্যবহৃত হয়): He’ll sit there hour after hour looking at the traffic go by.
